Swim Poll of the Week: 37% Favor Dryland As Preferred Land Exercise

This is the Swim Poll of the Week for Thursday August 27, 2020, sponsored by Strechcordz Swim Training Products. In our last poll, we wanted to know: When not in the water, how do you train as a swimmer?

As the coronavirus pandemic starts to slowly die down and the rest of the world tries to return to a state of normal in the back half of 2020, swimmers have been able to return to normal swim training albeit with some restrictions. We wanted to ask for our poll, what the desired form of exercise was when you were out of the water.

Some have resorted to training in flumes in their backyard like British Olympic champion Adam Peaty or Australia’s Kyle Chalmers. Some have resorted to more dedication to running like USA’s Claire Curzan or Polish swimmer Marta Ciesla.

So for the swim poll, we wanted to know: what was your preferred mode of land exercise?

Here are the answers regarding our swim poll:

Dryland – 38%

Weights – 35%

Running – 22%

Swim Machines – 5%
