Washington 2A Girls championships concluded today with Liberty (Renton) High School winning the meet. Port Angeles took second and Anacortes finished third.

Port Angeles took first in the 200 medley relay, with Kenzie Johnson, Jaine Macias, Felicia Che, and Nadia Cole finishing in a time of 1:50.76. Liberty finished second in 1:51.31 with the squad of Alexa Hoeper, Abby Russell, Taylor Clay, and Sydney Hartford. Pullman swimmers Taylor McCoy, Isobel Gleason, Camila Romero, and Caroline Brock took third with a 1:52.18.

Ellensburg’s Krista Wilson won the 200 free in 1:54.06. She was followed by Columbia River’s Kara Noftsker in 1:54.64 and Liberty’s Reegan Weber in 1:54.82.

Liberty’s Russell won the 200 IM in 2:05.90. In second was McCoy in 2:06.59 and in third was Cheney’s Alexis Schmidt in 2:12.16.

Eleanor Beers of North Kitsap dominated the 50 free in 23.36. Mackenzie Norman of Cheney finished second in 24.21 and Zoe Hill of Anacortes finished third in 24.64.

In women’s diving competition, Liberty’s Belle Wong won with 338.80 points. Cassii Middlestead of Port Angeles took second with 335.25 points and Christina Pennella of Black Hills got third with 311.80.

In the 100 fly, Schmidt won in 58.21. Klahowya’s Kira Crane followed shortly with a 58.24 and Macias finished third with a 58.78.

Beers finished first in the 100 free in 50.98. Noftsker finished second with a 52.89 and Weber took third with a 52.94.

Wilson won the 500 free with a 5:06.40. Ella Van Troba of Naches Valley took second place in 5:12.19. In third was Brock in 5:21.26.

The Liberty women won the 200 free relay in 1:39.45. The team consisted of Russell, Chloe Weber, Reegan Weber, and Hartford. Isabel Hendryx, Dannica Hennings, Izy Iral, and Beers of North Kitsap posted a 1:39.84 for second place. The Pullman team of Borck, Emma Horstkamp, Romero, and McCoy posted a 1:43.08 for third place.

McCoy showed dominance in the 100 backstroke, winning in 56.40. She was followed by Hendryx in 59.58 and Johnson in 1:00.08.

Macias took the 100 breastwork in 1:05.13, followed by Russel in 1:05.48. Emily Zacharias of Highline finished third with a 1:08.06.

In the final event of the night, the North Kitsap squad of Hendryx, Hennings, Iral, and Beers posted a 3:41.54 to win the 400 free relay. Liberty took second in 3:41.91 with a team consisting of Clay, Chloe Weber, Reegan Weber, and Rachel King. The Columbia River team of Keleigh Kelly, Sydney Boyle, Makena Wilcox, and Noftsker took third in 3:43.20.
