Texas’ Jordan Windle led a huge 1-2 with Longhorn freshman Noah Duperre in the finals of 1m diving as Windle won at 435.60 ahead of Duperre’s 405.45 to pick up 37 huge points for Texas in their pursuit of a 15th national title.

Texas closed the gap to 33 points behind Cal Berkeley as they also picked up an additional point in the B-Final with Brendan McCourt getting 16th.

LSU’s Juan Hernandez, who was the top seed this morning, finished third at 405.25 ahead of Indiana’s Andrew Capobianco (393.35) who won the 3m back in 2019 and is looking to help Indiana place in the top ten.

Purdue’s Greg Duncan (374.85), Ohio State’s Lyle Yost (343.00), Miami’s Brodie Scapens (337.15) and Stanford’s Conor Casey (294.55) also competed in the championship final.

Texas now has 11 NCAA titles in 1m diving, putting them in a tie with Indiana for second most all-time in this event, as Windle joins Skippy Browning (1951, 1952), his coach Matt Scoggin (1983, 1984), Troy Dumais (2000 – 2002), Drew Livingston (2009, 2012) and Michael Hixon (2014) as winners of the event for the Longhorns.
