Foster’s 200 free is impressive, especially for a sophomore, but at least by the finish of the weekend (I don’t know the dates of the Ohio D-1 and D-2 meets.) Foster was not the overall Ohio state high school record holder.

Based on SwimmingWorld.com reporting from a day or two earlier:
“Bellbrook’s Cody Bybee, who will swim at Arizona State this fall, dominated the 200 free
in 1:34.02. He placed first by over seven seconds and his time set a new Ohio state
record. ”

Carson’s wonderful 1:34.19 falls short of Cody’s 1:34.02 as the Ohio state record. Absent some high school rule in Ohio I don’t understand, Cody holds the D-II and overall record and Carson the D-1 mark.

Great job by both gentlemen.

I believe they split that based on division-D1 record and D2 record.

I hope Carson can talk his brother into swimming at Sycamore next year. Talk about breaking some relay records…

The D1 boys 200 free relay ended up in a tie. I am surprised they didn’t require a swim of.

Jake Foster attends St. Xavier but doesn’t swim High School. Carson Foster transferred from St. Xavier to Sycamore in the middle of the school year.
