Three swimmers – Coleman Stewart, Erika Brown, Beata Nelson and Veronica Burchill – announced they are joining the Cali Condors for the 2020 International Swimming League season.

All three swimmers, whose college eligibility ended in the spring, made their announcements via Instagram.

Stewart ended a standout career at NC State in the spring, denied a chance to swim at his final NCAA Championships due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. A two-time NCAA champion in the 100 backstroke and 400 freestyle relay, Stewart is a versatile swimmer who is particularly valuable in the ISL, as he can swim sprint free, butterfly and backstroke. The 13-time ACC champion was a two-time ACC Men’s Swimmer of the Year and a 22-time All-American.

Brown was awarded the 2020 SEC Female Swimmer of the Year Award. A 21-time All-American, Brown won 18 SEC championships for the University of Tennessee, including doing the 50 free-100 free-100 fly triple three straight seasons. She piloted the Lady Vols to their first SEC title.

Burchill capped her career at the University of Georgia by top-10 times in program history in four events (50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 100 fly). She also was part of two school-record relays. A 20-time All-American, she was ranked second nationally in the 200 free and seventh in the 100 free this college season.

Nelson was an NCAA champion in three events in 2019 and will be a huge point-scorer in the backstroke events for the Condors.

The Cali Condors finished third in the ISL regular season and third at the ISL Final Match last fall.
