The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association wrapped up boys swimming competition this weekend with a number of quick swims across the board.

4A

Camas captured the team title with 302 points. Junior Mark Kim was first to the wall in the 200 freestyle with a 1:40.76. He also claimed the 500 freestyle in 4:35.15. His senior teammate Tom Utas won the 50 freestyle in 21.07. Eric Wu combined with Jaden Kim, Utas and Mark Kim for a winning 200 freestyle relay time of 1:26.82.

Issaquah won the 200 medley relay in 1:35.42 with the team of Kyle MillisWill CreweChristopher Leu, and Brandon Leu. Millis topped the 100 backstroke in 50.25. That Issaquah quartet fell just short of winning the 400 freestyle relay as they touched in 3:11.08, just behind Skyline’s Will O’DafferJoseph SpaniacRehaan Bhimani, and Jacob Leahy.

Jackson’s Jonathan Cook touched in 1:48.36 to claim the 200 IM. He was a double winner with a 53.91 100 breaststroke.

Skyline senior Leahy won the 100 freestyle in 46.24. Hanford sophomore stopped the clock in 50.26 for 100 butterfly gold.

Bainbridge scored 369 points for the team title, just 18 more than Bellevue with 351 points. Bainbridge won the opening and closing relays while Bellevue captured the 200 freestyle relay. William WaiteKevin HousemanMakai Ingalls, and Jude Wenker swam a 1:32.64 for the 200 medley title, just faster than Bellevue in 1:32.95.

Bellevue junior Andrew Boden was victorious in the 200 freestyle with a 1:41.21. He captured the 500 in 4:39.29 with sophomore teammate Jackson Dudley on his heels in 4:40.69.

Boden, Sebastian DteenAndrew Lee, and Nick Kenny won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:25.52.

Waite stopped the clock in 1:50.98 to secure 200 IM victory. His teammare Ingalls was a double winner with a 21.06 50 freestyle and a 49.94 100 butterfly. Their freshman teammate Wenker clocked a 46.96 to win the 100 freestyle, just quicker than Shorewood’s Andrew Butcher (46.98). Houseman wrapped up the Bainbridge individual victories with a 55.22 100 breaststroke.

Ingalls, Wenker, Parker Bushey, and Waite comprised the victorious 400 freestyle relay, posting a 3:05.57.

Roosevelt senior Emmett Wayte was first in the 100 backstroke in 50.29.

Kingston scored 225 points to secure the state title ahead of Steilacoom with 213.5 points.

Kingston’s Timothy GallagherNolan PlatzQuiny Walker, and Bryce Hoffer started the finals session with a 1:38.94 winning 200 medley relay. Their teammate Ethan Fox clocked a 1:54.73 to win the 200 IM in dominating fashion. Gallagher recorded a 50.74 to win the 100 backstroke.

Columbia River’s Josh Bottleberghe won the 200 freestyle in 1:39.87. He followed that up with a 100 breaststroke victory in 55.01. His teammate Rob Mead topped the 100 freestyle (47.31). That duo combined with Isaac Wooten and Ben Phelps for a 1:30.71 and gold medal in the 200 freestyle relay.

Brisen Pearson, a senior from Bellingham won the 50 freestyle in 21.19 and the 100 butterfly in 50.41.

Pullman freshman Holden Ellsworth stood atop the 500 freestyle podium with his 4:41.11. Ellsworth swam with Cameron LarsenSean Li, and Josh Joireman to win the 400 freestyle relay in 3:16.63.
