Auburn, Alabama Swim Meet Canceled Due to COVID-19 Positives

Friday’s schedule SEC swim meet between Alabama and Auburn in Tuscaloosa has been canceled due to COVID-19 positive tests.

Auburn announced the cancellation, caused by, “a combination of positive tests, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals” within the program. The meet will not be rescheduled.

Auburn has two dual meets scheduled at home next week, due to welcome Florida State on Jan. 20 and Florida on Jan. 23 for what is planned to be Senior Day. Its return to competition will be determined according to guidelines set forth by the SEC’s Return to Activity and Medical Guidance Task Force.

Alabama is scheduled to meet Georgia on Jan. 22.

The SEC dual meet season is set to end no later than Jan. 25.
