The teams of the American Athletic Conference concluded their four-day stint in Indianapolis with an impressive laundry list of accomplishments. From the Houston women running away with the meet, to the Cincinnati men sprinting to a 0.01 relay victory over ECU, this young, fresh conference proved that it is nothing short of  spectacular.

The Lady Cougars swept nearly every event on the women’s side, knitting together an impenetrable fabric of talent in every aspect of competition. With unstoppable relays and consistency on the boards, Houston proved itself time and time again as the best women’s team in the AAC. This was adequately reflected in their 311.5-point victory over Cincinnati, which narrowly outscored SMU by just over five points in a climactic final relay.

The men’s side saw a similar battle for points, but this time for the championship, as ECU and Cincinnati dominated the pool from Night One. Throughout the week, the Pirates fought vigorously to remedy the point deficit attained in the first day of competition. Despite a stellar sprint stroke day, they ultimately conceded the win to the Bearcats, who jumped to a 146-point advantage in the final day to take the championship.
