At the end of night three of the TYR Pro Swim Series stop in Santa Clara, Zach Apple discussed his 100 and 200 free performances and his recent transition to training at Indiana University.

He was satisfied with his 100 race that evening and his back half speed, especially with Caeleb Dressel coming up on him during the second 50.

He also talked about his recent transition to IU, training with Blake Pieroni and Zane Groethe, fame status compared to Lilly King and Cody Miller, and his new training schedule. As this is his second pro swim meet ever, he is still adjusting his expectations to adjust to not being an underdog. However, it’s obviously paying off, as he swam his best in-season 200 at finals last night.
