Georgia Fall Invitational: Bulldogs Swim Fastest 200 Medley Relay Time in NCAA This Season

The second night of the Georgia Fall Invitational started with another quick swim from the Georgia men.

Javier Acevedo, Jack Dalmolin, Camden Murphy and Dillon Downing won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:23.60, an NCAA automatic qualifying time and the fastest time in the country this season.

Georgia Tech’s Kyle Barone, Caio Pumputis, Christian Ferraro and Austin Daniel took second in 1:23.89, also an NCAA “A” cut.

Georgia leads the men’s Georgia Fall Invitational with 1,043 points, ahead of Georgia Tech (718) and Florida State (702).

The Georgia women lead the Georgia Fall Invitational with 983.5, ahead of Florida State (810.5) and Georgia Tech (468).

Dalmolin won the 100 breaststroke in 52.25, also edging Pumputis (52.42).

Acevedo won the 100 backstroke in 25.49 holding off Barone (45.68).

The Bulldogs also hit an automatic cut in the 800 free relay as Luca Urlando, Acevedo, Bradley Dunham and Jake Magahey won in 6:16.42.

Georgia’s Gabi Fa’Amausili, Zoie Hartman, Courtney Harnish and Maxine Parker started the second night of finals with a win in the 200 medley relay, finishing in 1:36.85.

Florida State’s Emma Terebo, Hannah Womer, Jenny Halden and Kertu Alnek took second in 1:38.90.

Georgia’s Callie Dickinson won the 400 IM in a “B” cut time of 4:10.56 leading a 1-2-3-4 finish by the Bulldogs with Maddie Homovic (4:12.14), Sammie Burchill (4:13.15) and Portia Brown (4:13.65).

In the men’s 400 IM of the Georgia Fall Invitational, Georgia’s Andrew Abruzzo win in 3:42.78, ahead of Florida State’s Nick Vance (3:45.50).

Halden won the 100 butterfly in 56.67, just one hundredth of a second ahead of Georgia’s Dakota Luther (52.68).

Murphy won the men’s 100 butterfly in 44.90, going 1-2 with Urlando (45.31). Ferraro was third (45.89).

Harnish won the 200 freestyle in 1:45.22 ahead of teammate Jillian Barczyk (1:46.30).

Magahey won the men’s 200 free in 1:33.50, ahead of Georgia Tech’s Batur Unlu (1:33.81).

Hartman won the 100 breaststroke in 58.34 ahead of teammate Danielle Della Torre (59.22), both provisional cuts.

Fa’Amausili won the 100 backstroke in 53.18 ahead of Florida State’s Emma Terebo (53.39), both “B” cuts.

Harnish, Barczyk, Dickinson and Hartman won the 800 free relay in 7;03.94, a “B” cut o close the women’s Day 2 of the Georgia Fall Invitational .
