Duke freshman Sarah Foley and NC State’s Hunter Tapp were named the ACC Swimmers of the Week for Week 2 of the season Tuesday. Divers Maddi Pullinger of Duke and UNC’s Anton Down-Jenkins are the divers of the week.

Foley won all three races in her college debut, posting NCAA B cuts in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.38), 200 breaststroke (2:11.95) and 400 individual medley (4:13.87) in a meet with Virginia Tech. All three times are in the top five in program history, with the 200 breast time sitting second. It’s also the top time in the conference early in the season.

Tapp won three events as NC State topped the University of North Carolina. The sophomore won the 50 free, 100 free and (oddly) 150-yard free. He also split sub-20 in the 200 free relay.

Pullinger won both diving events against Virginia Tech for Duke. The Australian scored 301.58 in the one-meter springboard and 324.53 in the three-meter.

Down-Jenkins won both diving events for the Tar Heels against NC State. The New Zealand native tallied 379.88 points in the one-meter event and 396.00 in the three-meter.
