Olivia Carter’s week at Speedo Junior Nationals included her big breakthrough moment, a win in the women’s 200 fly (2:09.02) and then an incredibly difficult moment just 24 hours later, when she was DQ’ed in the 400 IM after initially touching first. She also finished second in both the 100 fly and, to end the meet, the 200 IM.

Carter explained after the race how much it meant to win her first big national race and how she worked bounced back from the DQ. She also explained what races she considers her best and how she expects her final year in high school to unfold before she heads to the University of Georgia.
