Lakeside Aquatics still on top after day 3 of Futures Championships

After Day 3 of the Futures Championships, in Austin, Texas, Lakeside Aquatic Club continued to stay on top, with 561 points to end the day. Cypress Fairbanks Swim Club trailed in second with 270 points, while Nitro Swimming currently sits in third with 222 points.

In the women’s 200m fly, Kara Eisenmann of Lakeside was crowned champion with a 2:13.92. Dallas Mustang’s Rebecca Brandt took second in 2:17.92, and Grace Ritch of Magnolia Aquatic Club was third in 2:17.21

Frank Niziolek of St. Charles took the men’s 200m fly, clicking in a 2:03.54. Brayden Love of Cheyenne Mountain Aquatics was second in 2:05.13. Conner Ripp from Rockwood Swim Club took a third place finish in 2:05.22

The men’s and women’s 50m frees proved to be fast ones. Amanda Armstrong of Rockwall swimming clocked in a 26.35 to take first. Anna Miller of Rockwood Swim Club was a close second in 26.37. Aces Swim Club’s Laurel Eiber took third in 26.47

Jack Dolan of Rockwood Swim Club dominated the men’s 50, winning with a time of 23.39. Griffin Eiber of Aces Swim Club took second in 23.48, with Shaine Casas taking third in 23.37

Lakeside’s Lauren Savoy was the winner of the women’s 200m breast, beating out her teammate Emma Garfield, who took second in 2:36.86. Mary Jania of St. Charles was third in 2:38.03

In the men’s 200m breast, Tristen Disibio from Lakeside won in 2:18.38. Nicholas Theunissen of Missouri State took second in 2:19.12, just edging out Brenham Swim Club’s Hudson Smith who took third in 2:19.55.

Laine Reed of took the women’s 100m back with a 1:03.70. Lindsay Helferich was second in 1:04.22, beating Astrid Dirkzwager who clocked a 1:04.37 to take third.

Dubuque’s John Colin clocked a 57.57 to take the men’s 100m back. Sean Grieshop of Nitro Swimming posted 57.78 to take second, and Ethan Kramer of Lakeside took third in 58.22

In the women’s 400m free, Victoria Edwards of Longhorn Aquatics won the event by over two seconds, posting a 4:19.42. Caitlin Clements of Magnolia Aquatic Club took second in 4:21.26, with Marcy Johnston of Rockwall Aquatics took third in 4:23.47

Alexander Zettle of Lakeside dominated the men’s 400m free, putting up a 3:57.71. Ford Blaylock of Rockwall Aquatic placed second in the event in 3:59.28. Levy Nathan barely missed the 4-minute barrier, clocking in a 4:00.69, good enough for third.
