Colorado’s Richard Dauksher Commits to Carnegie Mellon University

NEW COMMIT: Richard Dauksher, of Fort Collins, CO has committed to swim for Carnegie Mellon University, beginning in the fall.

Dauksher trains with Loveland Swim Club under Coach Nickell. Dauksher is a team captain at Fossil Ridge High School where he has been a two year finalist and contributor to the state champion team. He is also an Academic All-American.

He said of his decision,

“I am honored to attend Carnegie Mellon University and am excited to be part of the swim team. Carnegie Mellon provides unparalleled academics and a culture of collaboration. I am blessed to have the opportunity to study and swim at this world premier university. Go Tartans!”

His top times include:

  • 1000 free 9:21.42
  • 1650 free 15:44.93
  • 400 IM 4:01.66
  • 500 free 4:34.91
  • 200 free 1:40.73
  • 200 back 1:51.89

Dauksher already has times that would score at the NCAA Division III National Championships. At March’s meet he would have finished 11th in the 1650.
