Colgate Adds Victor Swim Club’s Andrew Kelemen to Class of 2021

Victor Swim Club’s Andrew Kelemen has committed to swim for Colgate University. The high school senior will join the Red Raiders in the fall.

Kelemen is a tri-captain of Victor Swim Club’s senior group. He’ll add depth to Colgate’s mid-distance freestyle and backstroke events.

Kelemen’s best times are:

  • 50 Free 22.73
  • 100 Free 48.95
  • 200 Free 1:45.02
  • 500 Free 4:43.97
  • 1650 Free 16:34.43
  • 100 Back 55.00

Kelemen is a Speedo Sectionals finalist. This summer he lead Victor to a third place finish at Futures. He attends Fairport High School where he is a member of the National Honor Society.

Colgate competes in the Patriot League. As a senior Andrew Hacker led the team’s 100 and 200 freestyle efforts last year. Kelemen will join a sprint to mid-distance freestyle group that will still include Seam Fitzhenry, Mel Phillips, and Ryan Birdsall next year.
