2017 Men’s Pac-12 Championships Day 2 Prelims: Shoults, Craig Take Top Seeds

The Pac-12 men’s championships continued in Federal Way, Wash., with Day 2 preliminaries Thursday.

Here is a look at who made the finals:

500 freestyle

Stanford’s Grant Shoults took the top seed in the 500-yard freestyle, swimming the race in 4:14.02 to finished two seconds ahead of the rest of the field.

Cal’s Ryan Kao took the second seed (4:16.17), followed by Stanford’s True Sweetser (4:17.92), Stanford’s James Murphy (4:18.47), Arizona State’s Benjamin Olszewski (4:18.49), USC’s Reed Malone (4:18.90), Stanford’s Liam Egan (4:19.03) and Utah’s Rahiti De Vos (4:20.97).

Arizona State freshman Cameron Craig took the top seed in the 200 IM, finishing in 1:43.56.

Stanford’s Tom Kremer took the second seed (1:43.82), followed by Cal’s Andrew Seliskar (1:43.88), Ryan Murphy (1:43.96) and Michael Thomas (1:44.23).

Stanford’s Abrahm DeVine took the sixth seed (1:44.39), followed by Max Williamson (1:44.49) and USC’s Steven Stumph (1:44.89).
