Women’s 200 Fly:

Cammile Adams cruised to the top seed in prelims of the women’s 200 fly. Adams stopped the clock at 2:10.72 for the first place seed.

Hannah Saiz and Jen Marrkand delivered similar times to come back tonight as the second and third place seeds. Saiz turned in a 2:11.13 over Marrkand’s 2:11.17.

Audrey Lacroix finished fourth overall this morning with a time of 2:11.67.

Klaudia Nazieblo earned the fifth place seed in tonight’s final with a 2:13.06, while returning as sixth will be Kate Mills with a 2:13.17.

Maria Jose Mata Coco (2:14.02) and Hannah Kukurugya (2:14.44) rounded out the top eight qualifiers.

Men’s 200 Fly:

Jonathan Gomez topped the qualifiers list in the men’s 200 fly with a swift 1:57.82, leading the competition by three seconds.

Zach Harting and Tyler Clary turned in similar times for spots on either side of Gomez in tonight’s ‘A’ final. Harting stopped the clock at a 2:00.83 over Clary’s 2:00.93.

Dylan Bosch grabbed the fourth place seed with a 2:01.34, while Marcos Lavado earned fifth with a 2:01.63.

Alarii Levreault-Lopez finished sixth overall in prelims with a 2:02.26, just ahead of David Arias Gonzales (2:02.59).

Zach Fong was eighth with a 2:02.61.

Women’s 50 Free:

A close battle between Chantal Van Landeghem and Madison Kennedy highlighted the final heat of the prelims session of the women’s 50 free. Van Landeghem got the best of Kennedy inching her fingertips to the wall ahead of Kennedy’s to post a 24.93 over Kennedy’s 24.96.

Michelle Williams posted a time of 25.24 to earn the third place seed, just ahead of Dana Vollmer and her time of 25.36.

Ivy Martin grabbed the fifth place seed with a 25.48, while lili Ibanez Lopez finished sixth in prelims with a 25.63.

Kelsi Worell (25.69) and Farida Osman (25.71) rounded out the top eight.

Men’s 50 Free:

The men’s 50 free displayed a tight field of competitors but this morning it was Santo Condorelli who emerged on top. Condorelli posted the top time at a 22.44, ahead of Cullen Jones’ second place 22.50.

Anthony Ervin grabbed the third place seed witha 22.56, while Josh Schneider turned in a 22.65 for fourth.

Oleksandr Loginov was fifth with a 22.68.

Daniel Kanorr and Paul Powers turned in similar times for the sixth and seventh place seeds. Kanorr stopped the clock at a 22.85 ahead of Powers’ 22.87.

Jimmy Feigen grabbed eighth with a time of 22.93.

Women’s 100 Back:

Ali Deloof, last night’s winner of the 50 back, posted the fastest time in prelims of the 100 back. Deloof stopped the clock at a 1:00.22 to earn the first place seed going into tonight’s finals.

Finishing close behind was Kylie Masse with a time of 1:00.86.

Dominique Bouchard and Kirsty Coventry turned in similar times for the third and fourth place seeds. Bouchard finished wit ha 1:00.90 over Coventry’s 1:00.93.

Clara Smiddy grabbed the fifth place seed with a 1:01.40, while Claire Adams was sixth with a 1:09.91.

Erin Voss (1:01.99) and Kathleen Baker (1:02.32) rounded out the top eight.

Men’s 100 Back:

A trio of 55’s highlighted prelims of the men’s 100 back. Finishing on top was Ryan Lochte with a 55.09.

Arkady Vyatchanin finished second with a 55.53, while Bob Glover grabbed third with a 55.97.

Bryce Bohman earned the fourth place seed with a 56.01, just ahead of Tyler Clary’s 56.05.

Paul Le posted the sixth fastest time of the morning at a 56.24.

Aaron Greene (56.49) and Robert Owen (56.56) completed the top eight qualifiers.

Women’s 200 Breast:

Anne Lazor beste d the breaststroke queen Lilly King in prelims of the 200 breaststroke. Lazor stopped the clock at a 2:27.58 over King’s 2:28.09.

Kierra Smith and Katie Meili  turned in close times to grab the third and fourth place seeds. Smith posted a 2:28.54 compared to Meili’s 2:28.84.

Miranda Tucker snagged the fifth place seed with a 2:29.58, while Esther Gonzalez Medina grabbed sixth with a 2:29.95.

Andee Cottrell (2:31.12) and Daniella Carrillo (2:31.54) finished seventh and eighth respectively.

Men’s 200 Breast:

Last night’s 100 breast champion, Cody Miller, continued to display his dominance in the stroke with a 2:15.70 in the 200, good for the first place seed.

Mauro Castillo Luna turned in the second fastest time of the morning at a 2:16.94, while Miguel Chavez rounded out the top three qualifiers with a 2:17.14.

Finishing fourth in prelims was Richard Funk with a 2:17.49, just ahead of Luis Jasso’s 2:17.72.

Miguel De Lara Ojeda posted a time of 2:18.10 for sixth, and Jorge Murillo Valdes was seventh with a 2:18.24.

Youssef el Kamash squeezed into the top eight with a 2:18.25.

Women’s 50 Fly:

The top three qualifiers in the women’s 50 fly all posted times within .16 seconds of each other. The young Penny Oleksiak topped the competition with a 26.03, but was followed closely by Dana Vollmer’s 26.10.

Farida Osman rounded out the top three qualifiers with a 26.19.

Ivy Martin claimed the fourth place seed with a 26.40, just ahead of Kelsi Worrell and her time of 26.63.

Alyssa Marsh grabbed the sixth place seed with a 26.87, while Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace turned in a 27.09 for seventh.

Eighth went to Hellen Moffitt and her time of 27.13.

Men’s 50 Fly:

Santo Condorelli continued to top the sprinting fields with a first place finish in prelims of the men’s 50 fly. Condorelli clocked a 23.77 to be the only swimmer under the 24-second mark.

Tim Phillips finished second overall in prelims with a 24.22, while teammate Matthew Josa grabbed third with a 24.59.

Matt McHugh finished fourth with a 24.68, just ahead of Ryan Lochte’s 24.72.

Mark Weber and Long Gutierrez turned in similar times of 24.75 and 24.77 to earn the sixth and seventh place seeds respectively.

Albert Subirats finished eighth overall in prelims with a 24.80.

Women’s 400 Free:

Leah Smith, winner of last night’s 200 free, smoked the competition in the women’s 400 free with a final time of 4:05.85, finishing almost four seconds ahead of the competition.

Lindsay Vrooman posted the second fastest time of the morning at a 4:09.82, while Gillian ryan grabbed the third place seed with a 4:11.69.

Rose Bi finished fourth in prelims with a 4:13.63.

Fifth was claimed by Kiera Janzen and her time of 4:16.37. She was followed by a pair of 4:17’s from Alex Norris (4:17.55) and Kristel Kobrich (4:17.59).

Lindsay Clary rounded out the top eight with a 4:17.89.

Men’s 400 Free:

It was a race to the finish between the Con(n)ors in the men’s 400 freestyle. Conor Dwyer, last night’s 200 free champion, got the better of Connor Jaeger to claim the first place seed in tonight’s final. Dwyer turned in a 3:52.10 to Jaeger’s 3:52.15.

Ricardo David Vargas Jacobo and Zane Grothe turned in similar times for the third and fourth place seeds. Jacobo grabbed third with a 3:53.04 ahead of Grothe’s 3:53.15.

Marcelo Acosta claimed the fifth place seed with a 3:53.53, while Michael Weiss grabbed sixth with a 3:55.31.

Michael Klueh (3:55.41) and Sean Ryan (3:56.79) were seventh and eighth respectively.
